Sessions included practical case studies, discussions on adapting to change, and insights into balancing growth with sustainability, emphasizing resilience in times of uncertainty.
Insitutek’s Robin Power presented “Leveraging the Benefits of an Integrated Compaction Testing Approach”. The session highlighted how integrating compactor instrumentation with in situ measurements and real-time feedback loops creates an Integrated Compaction Control System, enabling consistent and efficient compaction. Using case studies from the Pacific region, Robin showed how these advanced testing methods can improve construction efficiency, reduce costs, enhance quality, and lower environmental impacts. He also demonstrated their value as practical training tools for roller operators and quality assurance aids for asset owners, underlining the benefits for long-term infrastructure resilience.
