We recently headed to Adelaide for the 20th AfPA International Conference, held from 28–30 October 2025. This year’s theme, “Future Ready Roads,” set the stage for three days of practical discussions about where the flexible pavements industry is heading and how we can keep improving the way we work.

It was a great opportunity to share our work and connect with engineers, policymakers, and industry leaders. Robin Power and Dwayne Rosie presented “Intelligent Compaction – Reducing Over & Under Compaction & Increasing Compaction Uniformity”, showing practical ways to improve road quality and consistency.

Throughout the event, conversations on asphalt testing, base condition assessment, compaction control, and intelligent compaction data underscored the importance of using real-world insights to deliver more reliable, sustainable outcomes.

Overall, it was a productive and inspiring few days — a reminder that when the industry comes together, we can build roads that are not just fit for today, but ready for the future.
